McDonough Manufacturing offers a full line of edging and gang sawing machinery including both linear and transverse high speed optimized edger systems. Lineal Edgers

    • Transverse Edgers
  • Also available in guided or collared saw designs
  • Minimum piece lengths of 4' to recover more value from your flitches
  • Short-coupled outfeed designs allow these machines to fit into your existing conventional edger footprint with 3 saws or more
  • Center-chain feed system retains accuracy during transport


    • Optimized Combination Edger
  • Our optimized combination edger was specifically designed for hardwood customers to handle both flitches and cants up to 7" thick through a common optimized edging/gang sawing system
  • Provides the benefits of optimized solutions for both cants and boards with only one optimizer
  • Thin-kerf guided saw design allows for reduced lines on other sawing centers while maintaining recovery, improving productivity and optimizing yeild
  • Common center-line means higher piece counts and improved accuracy
  • Available 3 saw edger and 15 saw gang cluster can be configured with a fixed pocket in the gang pack
