Precision Fabrication

Precision Fabricating has been an industry leader since the early 1990s, when the Lakes States' leading innovator in saw milling approached the company about providing equipment repairs. The sawmill's off-the-shelf stock transfer equipment, while economical, was poorly built and was in no condition to meet the mill's future needs. Precision went to work rebuilding the equipment, completing what would be the first of many material-handling systems, and securing a name for itself as the go-to company for sawmill machinery design and high production material handling equipment.

Soon after, Precision was introduced to McDonough Manufacturing, an industry leader in sawmill machinery. A strong relationship formed between the two companies - one that made for a combined 260 years of hands-on sawmill design and fabricating experience, and a standard of quality that spanned generations.

Today, Precision Fabricating has grown and expanded to meet the demands and expectations of the industry. In 2003, the company relocated to a new, 10,800 square foot facility in Laona, Wisconsin. Here, the company's long-lasting machinery is engineered to customer specs, designed to mill layouts, and thoroughly reviewed before it goes into production. Precision takes pride in building machinery that is simple, yet innovative, and designed to stand the test of time.

Combining experience and a "get it done" attitude, Precision Fabricating builds custom, made-to-order heavy equipment that is price competitive. The principle of Precision's success is rooted in the values of what makes equipment run: quality components, build it heavy, use the latest engineering and technology, and make it as simple as possible for maintenance. These principles act in concert to maximize the most important elements of manufacturing: efficiency and up time. Simply put, Precision machinery is built the way it should be.
